D3troit is a Neo-Soul/R&B group comprised of Metro Detroit area artists Le$Lie, Kristofer Tamayo, and Stevie the Vibe. The group formed in December 2020 as a means to write emotionally charged music, even while separated during the COVID pandemic. This led to the creation of their debut single “Too Much of Myself”, which gained critical acclaim locally. The group is dedicated to producing music with meaningful messages and collaborating with diverse artists to create a unique, innovative sound.
Kristofer Tamayo is a singer, composer, and lyricist. His background as a multi-instrumentalist is always at play in his performances and music, blending organic sounds with synth-based production. His eclectic appreciation for film scores and video game music also hugely informs the genre-bridging nature of his work.
“Le$Lie” is a Metro Detroit based singer, rapper, poet, songwriter, and producer. His passion for the spoken word led him to start writing and producing his own Hiphop/R&B songs. In the spring of 2021 he released his debut single , “In Too Deep” , which paid homage to the “underground” hip hop scene that he so admired. “Le$Lie” hopes to utilize all his skills to produce tracks with clever rhyme schemes and intricate melodies; as well as collaborate with different artists to create quality music that infiltrates his audience’s hearts and minds.
